A RHYL woman has become unrecognisable to her neighbours after sacrificing her locks for charity.

Coleg Llandrillo cleaner Debbie Moule has raised more than £400 for cancer charity Macmillan's 'Brave the Shave' campaign.

Debbie, who has been a cleaner at the college’s Rhyl campus for 11 years, was inspired to make the plunge for the campaign, after making the decision to change up her look.

Debbie, originally of Sheffield, said: “I had always had fairly long hair, but I was going grey and didn’t want to continue to dye my hair any more.

“Then I saw the Brave the Shave campaign on the TV and decided that this was an excellent opportunity to do it and raise money for such an important cause.

The nationwide campaign has raise more than £4 million in 2018/19.

Debbie added: "The response has been brilliant; my neighbour didn’t even recognise me.

“My goal was to raise £300 in an online campaign, which I eventually achieved. But, staff and students from the college’s Rhyl Sixth centre raised another £100 to add to the pot, which was brilliant.”
