NEW holistic classes are being held at Altrincham Leisure Centre after feedback from customers

Trafford Leisure has launched a new timetable which includes 47 group exercise classes a week, with more evening and early morning sessions.

The new classes are largely holistic including pilates and yoga.

Trafford Leisure has secured Natalia Galobart, a well-established teacher practising in Hatha and Yin Yoga, who will lead three specialist yoga classes each week.

It has also enlisted the help of celebrity and world renowned personal trainer Pierre Pozutto to develop a signature Trafford Leisure indoor cycling class, TAB (to a beat) for all fitness levels.

Paul Murray, general manager of Altrincham Leisure Centre, said: “We’ve taken a closer look at our fitness classes and revamped our timetable to offer more sessions than ever before.

"It’s packed with a variety of different ways to get fit, plus we have a number of new instructors to give them a fresh boost over the coming months.

"We are so excited both with the quantity and quality of the group exercise timetable. There really is something for everyone, from beginner to elite athlete. There has never been a better time to get fit, stay active and feel great.”

The new timetable is accompanied by a refurbished Move Zone — formerly the lower practice hall — and a new cycle studio, now called the Cycle Zone.

Both the revamped areas incorporate new fitness and wellness technology Myzone, making exercise interactive and trackable.

Myzone is a heart rate based system that uses wireless cloud technology to monitor physical activity.

The cycle studio has been redesigned with grey charcoal walls and atmospheric mood lighting. The effect is both modern and welcoming.

The Move Zone has also had a fresh coat of paint and a new air conditioning system has been installed, to ensure a good air flow, particularly for the hotter months of summer.

Jo Cherrett, COO, Trafford Leisure, said: “Our investment into the new workout spaces and timetable are underpinned by an awareness of what our customers wanted. The improved facilities and scheduling will help the Trafford Leisure community to fulfil their physical activity goals.”
