I’d like to start by wishing all the readers of Wayne’s World a very happy Christmas and I hope you all have a fantastic and prosperous New Year!

This is my last column of 2018 and I would like to thank you all for the tremendous support you have given me throughout the year and I hope you will continue that support and enjoy reading my column in 2019.

Throughout 2018, I have met some wonderful people here in Trafford, interviewed some famous faces with Trafford connections and visited and performed at some amazing places.

It has been my absolute pleasure to share all these things with you and I hope to give you all this and much more in the New Year.

The highlight of the year for me was our visit to Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Garden Party and I was very proud to share that with you all.

Closer to home, Val and I have visited each part of the borough and are always thrilled to meet the amazing people we have here in Trafford.

It really is a wonderful place to live in and be proud of. If there is a cause to fight, money to be raised or celebrations to be had, nowhere does it quite like Trafford!

My last event of the year was at the Hale Barns Christmas event at the Holy Angels Church.

After I performed my set of Christmas classics, along with a couple of rat pack hits thrown in, I then took my seat, and a prosecco, with my Val and listened to the amazing voice of Scarlett Quigley, from the television show The Voice, who made us tingle, especially with her rendition of Nessun Dorma and Never Enough from the musical The Greatest Showman.

Then the fun and fantastic Montage party band had us dancing in the aisles. The event was finished off perfectly with us all taking part in a Hale Barn’s take on the Band Aid hit Do They Know It’s Christmas.

It was a lovely evening I was very proud to be a part of.

Val and I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and send our best wishes from our family to yours.

We look forward to what 2019 brings and can’t wait to share it all with you.

Merry Christmas!
