The home of a family attending the funerals of three crash victims has been burgled.
Following a serious collision on the A34 in Alderley Edge, Liyakat Sidat, 47, Salma Sidat, 41, and Hajra Sidat, 14 all from the Old Trafford area of Manchester died. The crash happened on Saturday night.
Liyakat Sidat was the madressa principal at Masjid Bilal based on Bury Old Road, Manchester and highly respected for his work in the community across the country.
The funeral took place today at Southern Cemetery, Barlow Moor Road, Manchester this morning.
In CCTV released to Asian Image a man can be seen entering the house of close family members of the deceased on Henry Street at 11.04am. The suspect is then believed to have made his way upstairs.
A family member received a mobile notification whilst attending the funerals with an alert stating of an incident taking place.
Police are investigating the incident and said they had a report of a burglary at a property on Henry Street shortly before 11.15am. But were unable to release any further details at the moment.
