BUILDINGS will be bathed in purple light this week as Altrincham joins the fight against Polio.
The historic Town Hal and Cresta Court Hotel will turn purple in the evening as part of The Rotary Club’s campaign to raise awareness of Polio around the world.
The Rotary club has also been busy getting its green fingers working by planting over 30,000 purple crocus corms in John Leigh Park, Barrington Green, Shaws Green and Timperley Village.
The colour purple represents the dye that children dip their fingers in, to show they have been vaccinated against polio.
