THE BIGGEST Christmas parade in the North West takes place in Trafford this year.

The intu Trafford Centre will transform the shopping complex into a winter wonderland for families on Saturday, November 17.

Friendly faces from Paw Patrol, PJ Masks, Shimmer and Shine, In the Night Garden, Teletubbies, Thunderbirds and other popular TV shows will join in the parade next month.

Thousands flocked to see last year’s Christmas toy parade and this year’s celebration is set to be bigger and better than ever.

Alison Niven, regional centre director at Trafford Centre, said: “Our Magical Christmas Parade was a huge hit last year bringing a smile to thousands of little festive faces.

“It’s the perfect festive mix of family fun, music and dancing that is sure to make a great Christmas day out.

“And with our brand-new Christmas grotto, the chance to go on the Christmas Wheel outside the centre and many more events planned over the next two months – it’s really beginning to feel like the magic of Christmas has started.”

Filled with fairy-tale music, dance medleys and festive magic – the captivating Christmas show will burst into life with two show-stopping parades at 11:30am and 2:30pm on Saturday, November 17.

The enchanting performances will give families a chance to see their favourite children’s TV characters alongside a dazzling array of princes, princesses, dancers and many more.

And, of course, a busy Father Christmas will take a break from his time in the centre’s new Christmas grotto to appear in the procession and welcome crowds to the Christmas event.

Shoppers and families will have two opportunities to catch a glimpse of the well-known friendly faces, with parades at 11.30am and 2.30pm in the Orient.

The Magical Christmas Parade will star fairy-tale princes and princesses, Chase and Marshall from PAW Patrol, Catboy, Owlette and Gekko from PJ Mask, Teletubbies Tinky Winky and Po, Peter Rabbit, Lego Batman, as well as special guest Father Christmas.
