MEMBERS and friends of Altrincham Rotary Club raised £300 by holding a BBQ in support of the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).

The BBQ at Booth Bank Farm in Millington raised over £300 on the day, from sales of raffle tickets and donations.

Rob Bashforth, of CAFT, said: "This money will help with our activities here at the farm. The children range from complex and severe physical and learning disabilities, sensory impairments and terminal illnesses.

"Each child is treated as an individual and disability is no barrier to participating and all ethnic and social groups are welcome.

"The money from Altrincham Rotary Club is very welcome.

The Altrincham Rotary Club has supported CAFT for many years with fundraising.

Barry Besbrode, president of Altrincham Rotary Club said he was "delighted" to hand over the cheque.

He said: "The Adventure Farm Trust is a very worthwhile charity which reaches out to those children who need care.

"The staff perform their duties with fun and smiles each day."
