THREE cars were stolen within minutes of each other on the same street last night.

The thefts happened in the early hours of the morning in Bemrose Avenue in Altrincham.

Thieves broke into one home and stole two cars before breaking into a neighbouring home to steal another.

Police said the burglars had prised open the ground floor front windows of both homes to gain entry and steal keys to the vehicles.

Officers are asking the public to remain vigilant and help trace the stolen cars.

The stolen vehicles are a black Golf Match TDI with vehicle registration ND58 OVO, a black Toyota Yaris ( reg MF05 XAB) and a blue Renault Clio (reg DU53 UUX).

PCSOs will be conducting house to house enquiries to provide crime prevention advice and to ask if anyone in that location has any further information or CCTV in relation to the burglaries.

The thefts are the latest in a car theft spree that has plagued Altrincham and Sale over the past few days.

On Friday, October 5, four vehicles were stolen overnight.

A red Volkswagen Golf (reg GD67 YGH) in Sale and a green Audi Q7 (reg NA18 WUD) in Brooklands were reported stolen.

The same night, a grey Audi A3 (reg KE64 JRU) and a silver Ford Focus (reg NC08 PTX) were taken from a home in Timperley.
