POLICE are appealing for help after an elderly woman and her sister were robbed by men who forced their way into their home
Three men, armed with screwdrivers, threatened 80-year-old and her sibling at her home in Welwyn Close, Davyhulme shortly before 2.50pm on Thursday September 20.
They stole cash and a mobile phone before running off.
Two of the offenders are described as white and aged in their 20s. The third is described as white and around 16-years-old.
Police are conducting enquiries in the area and are reviewing CCTV footage, including footage relating to a silver vehicle, possibly a VW Passat, which may be linked to the incident.
Det Insp Terry Chatterton said: “This was a cowardly robbery that has targeted an elderly woman and her sister in their own home, leaving them understandably terrified.
“We would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact police immediately.”
