MEET Bury Hospice’s teddy bear mascot — Colin the Bearbearian.

That is what staff have dubbed him — but what do you think?

As we look ahead to our annual Bury Hospice Care Month campaign in October, we thought it would he good fun to ask the people of Bury what they think he (or she!) should be called.

Many people in our towns have links to the hospice, whether it is relatives who have been cared for there, or people who work or volunteer there.

It might be that you want to come up with a name that pays tribute to that person — or something that has a special meaning for you.

Or it could be something fun that people will instantly associate with the hospice.

The name with the most votes will help sway the judging panel’s decision and it could be the name that you suggest which becomes the mascot of the campaign.

Email us with your suggestions to buryletters@burytimes.co.uk by Monday, September 24, or write to Bury Times, Hospice Campaign, The Wellsprings, Civic Centre, Bolton, BL1 1AR.
