ALTRINCHAM Grammar School for Boys has reported another set of impressive results this year.
A record 29 per cent of A-levels awarded were A* grades, 59 per cent awarded were A* or A and 79 per cent of results were graded at A*, A or B.
There were a number of exceptional individual performances with 23 students gaining three or more A* grades, including one student who was awarded seven A* grades.
A total of 17 students have secured places at Oxford or Cambridge Universities and at least 15 have prestigious places to study Medicine or Dentistry.
The vast majority of our students have gained their first choice of university places.
Students have also been offered places on highly competitive degree-level apprenticeships with Dyson and Jaguar Land Rover.
Head of sixth form, Tom Murray, said: “This has been a fantastic cohort of students. As well as being academically talented, they have led a range of events across the school and have enjoyed success in a variety of national competitions and extra-curricular events”.
Alex Patel, Head Boy, who will be studying Music at Trinity College Cambridge, said: “The single finest attribute of Altrincham Grammar School for Boys has been the supportive nature of staff and students alike.
"Not only has this helped me academically, but it has equipped me with assets for life”.
