I WOULD like to say thank you to all the readers who support my column each week, it’s really appreciated.

I’m regularly asked if I read the comments, which I always do; in fact, the comments have become as popular as the column itself!

So, thank you! I’m very grateful for your tremendous support.

This week, I have focused on family time. Quite often me and my Val will book a day trip through Elite Coaches, who are a brilliant company based in Sale.

We have had some fantastic days out to Chester, York and Llandudno, to name a few.

So, we decided to take our lads on the coach trip to Blackpool for the Air Show which was a great day out.

I love these trips as we often bump into old friends on the coach and it’s nice to meet new friends too.

The Blackpool Air show was a fantastic free event that was performed over the sea and could be watched from any point along the promenade.

From the Typhoon’s amazing performance at the beginning to the Red Arrows with their mesmerising show at the finale. It was a great day and reminded me of the old Barton Air Show days.

Does anyone remember seeing the Red Arrows and even Concorde once flew over for the Barton display? What a shame they stopped doing it.

We also booked ourselves on to this year’s trip to Lytham for their 1940’s day. We had a relaxing day in the sunshine, listening to live music tributes with everything from Vera Lynn to George Formby.

It was right up my street and walking along the front we stumbled across a Spitfire and a Messerschmitt, as well as lots of stalls full of vintage memorabilia.

We finished our day with a chippy tea before heading back to the coach.

I got home just in time to do another self-tape, which is an audition that you film yourself and send to a casting director, who has requested it.

I’m constantly auditioning for acting roles at the moment. So, please do keep your fingers crossed for me!
