The bodies of two men have been discovered in a park in Trafford.

Police and ambulance crews responded to reports of two bodies found in Davyhulme Park, Urmston, just after 8.40am on Tuesday.

A police investigation is underway and the area near the basketball court has been cordoned-off.

An air ambulance attended the scene this morning but has since left.

Police have confirmed that the bodies are those of two men aged in their 50s. The deaths are not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesman for GMP said: “Shortly after 8.40am this morning police were called to reports of two bodies found in Davyhulme Park.

"Officers attended and the bodies of two men – believed to be in their 50s – were discovered.

"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding their death and a file has been passed to the coroner."
