THE Canterbury Players are pleased that Ian Gower, Paul Carpenter and Tiger Aspect Productions have given them permission to present the stage play, the Vicar of Dibley, adapted from the TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer.
This year, royalties, due both to the script writers and to Tiger Aspect Productions have, at their request, been donated to Comic Relief.
The comedy will be performed at Urmston Sports Club, Moorside Road, Urmston from July 4 to July 7.
Aidan Keilty, a long-term member of the Canterbury Players, said: “This is a superb comedy production containing all the favourite Dibley characters.
“It’s very funny and we are pleased to be able to give our support to Comic Relief”.
Aidan, in his debut role as a Director, has chosen a cast of regular well-loved acting members and talented new faces.
The Canterbury Players present three productions a year.
