AS tomorrow marks the 60th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster, many fans will travel to Old Trafford to pay their respects.

Manchester United will hold a commemorative service inside the stadium, where all season-ticket holders over the age of 65 have been invited, but other supporters are also welcome to attend.

Players, staff and supporters held a minute’s silence ahead of kick-off in the match against Huddersfield Town on Saturday February 3.

Fans also paid their respects outside the ground on the same day, with the annual rendition of 'the Flowers of Manchester' song under the Munich plaque.

On the anniversary of the tragedy, February 6, turnstiles in the lower East Stand will be open from 1.45pm before the event, which will include readings and poems from 2.45pm, ahead of a minute’s silence at 3.04pm, marking the time of the fatal plane crash 60 years ago.

Supporters are advised to arrive early, as the usual matchday security checks will be in place.
