THE Society of Abandoned Animals marked a sad anniversary for three of its residents..

Snowy, Zoe and Daisy, are all rabbits at the sanctuary, based on the border of Stretford and Sale and they have all been unsuccessful in finding a home over the past 12 months.

Snowy arrived at the sanctuary in October last year, he is snow white and is about five years old. He arrived at the sanctuary with his brother after their owners neighbour had complained about them.

Snowy and his brother, Thumper had to be separated after they had an argument while at the sanctuary. Thumper, was rehomed soon after but Snowy is still looking for his forever home. The sanctuary said he is a very calm and relaxed rabbit and very friendly and could potentially live with another rabbit.

Zoe was found as a stray in October 2015. She is about two and a half-years-old.

The sanctuary said: "She is such a nice natured and friendly rabbit. The lady who found Zoe wanted to keep her, but her existing rabbit wasn’t too keen.

"Zoe is a firm favourite with the staff and volunteers as she is easy to handle and likes human interaction. She did have a health issue when she was younger but has recovered well, however this is something her new owners would need to keep in mind. Zoe could live with another rabbit."

Daisy is around three-years-old and is a Netherland Dwarf rabbit. She arrived at the sanctuary two years ago with her sister after their owners could no longer look after them.

Daisy’s sister passed away so now she lives alone.

She has ongoing respiratory issues that potential owners will need to keep in mind as she will need to live indoors as an indoor rabbit. The sanctuary said: "She is very clean and tidy so this shouldn’t cause any problems. Daisy is very sweet natured and calm and likes human company. She is also easy to handle."
