FLIXTON'S Wellacre Technology College is a step closer in its bid to having an extension approved to build on the western end of its school buildings.
Trafford Council's planning committee voted that they were minded to grant' the scheme on July 12.
The extension would be built on green belt land and because the council has an ownership interest it is required to refer the final decision to the department for communities and local government.
The proposal is for the construction of two prefabricated studio buildings, to be used for brickwork and engineering teaching. The council has received 27 letters of objection from residents living nearby.
