PAST pupils joined current ones at Moorlands Junior School on Temple Road to celebrate its 50th birthday.
The award-winning school choir and orchestra performed and the new adventure playground was officially opened.
Julie Jenkinson, who was one of the first pupils to enrol at Moorlands and is its business manager, said: “There is an enormous amount of affection for Moorlands.
“There’s something about its setting and the dedication of its staff that makes it special.
“It was wonderful to meet so many past pupils and parents who were full of happy stories about their time here."
