TRAFFORD-based Creamline Dairies is kick starting the season of goodwill, with the return of its Cream of the Community award scheme, now in its third year.

The family company is calling on the people of Greater Manchester and Cheshire to nominate community-spirited family members, friends and contacts.

Launched in 2014, to recognise the outstanding contribution people make in the areas that Creamline Dairies serves, the Cream of the Community award scheme shines a spotlight on people who play an active role as a force for good in their area.

With the number of entries to the award scheme doubling last year, Creamline is once again embarking on its search to find people with a heart of gold.

This year’s winner could be anyone who puts others before themselves: whether that’s someone who spends time helping a neighbour, a loved one, raises money for charity or gives of their time to support a local cause.

The winner of this year’s Cream of the Community Award will be treated to a three-month supply of Creamline’s fruit and veg offering – providing local market fresh fruit and veg straight to your door, along with a £500 donation to the charity of their choice. The person who nominates the Cream of the Community winner will also be treated to a three-month supply of Creamline’s fruit & veg boxes.

Commenting on the Cream of the Community, joint managing director Chris Swallow, said: “This award scheme is really close to our heart, allowing us to give a little back to the people who make up the fabulous communities we serve. Last year’s winner was inspirational. As a family run business, we’re delighted that we can continue to recognise the amazing work people do and to give another individual and their chosen charity a boost.”

Creamline has a long history of supporting Greater Manchester communities. The Creamline local lottery has donated tens of thousands of pounds to charitable causes across a variety of organisations such as Francis House, the Girl Guides and St Ann’s Hospice – with Creamline reaching the £100k donation mark for the hospice last year.
