THE care home Sunrise of Hale Barns joined forces with Parkinson’s UK to hold a coffee morning to help people in the area to improve their understanding of Parkinson’s.

The event was an informal drop-in session for people with an interest in the condition – whether it was those living with Parkinson’s, their carers, or anyone in need of advice looking to chat with other people who have been through similar experiences. There was also information on offer about further support and events being held in the area.

The coffee mornings will now be held on the second Friday of every month at Sunrise's premises, 295 Hale Rd, hale Barns.

Lorraine Fitzpatrick, director of community relations at Sunrise of Hale Barns, said: “Whether you are living with Parkinson’s or a carer for somebody with Parkinson’s, these coffee mornings are a great way to meet other people in similar situations and get advice.

"Everyone is more than welcome to join us for our next one in February.”
