AN Old Trafford-based company is saying cheers to a successful year of fundraising – but the team are determined to reach their £19,000 target before the New Year.

Under the banner of its charity, PHMG Foundation, staff at PH Media Group have been taking part in adrenaline-fuelled challenges throughout 2015, raising £17,000 in the process.

With the end of the year fast approaching the team are busier than ever trying to beat their fundraising target of £19,000.

Recent activities have included a skydive, an abseil down the Trafford Centre Bell Tower, a half marathon, a 10-kilometre military-inspired obstacle course and even a reverse bungee challenge.

Employees have also taken part in charity football and netball matches.

Last year, PH Media Group Foundation raised £32,000 after the company offered to double the final sum raised as long as staff reached the target of £16,000.

“Each year, our employees push themselves to the limit in order to raise the most money for charity - and in the most innovative ways too,” said Chris Berisford, Finance Director at PH Media Group.

“Given that we have already smashed last year’s target going into the last month of the year, we are more than confident that our upcoming events will help us reach £19,000.”

As part of their campaign, staff from the company will also be taking part in a pool tournament, a FIFA contest and a five and ten-kilometre run while a Santa Dash will bring the year’s fundraising activity to a close.

Charities for 2015 include Help for Heroes, Cystic Fibrosis, St Christopher’s Hospice, St Ann’s Hospice, GOSH, Ronald McDonald House, Christies, Shelter, Sparks, Meningitis Trust, Alzheimer’s Society and Macmillan.
