INTERNATIONALLY-acclaimed, operatic star Bibi Heal makes her debut with the Lancashire Chamber Orchestra at a classical music matinee concert in Altrincham.

A former pupil of Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, she has sung all over the UK and Europe with prestigious companies such as Opera North and Philharmonia Orchestra in venues from the Barbican, Royal Opera House, Wigmore Hall, and Royal Albert Hall to music festivals in Leeds, Aldeburgh, Spain, Netherlands and Germany.

In her concert with the Lancashire Chamber Orchestra, her soaring soprano voice is set to wow audiences with a collection of songs by Handel, including arias from Alcina, Giulio Cesare and Ottone and Mozart’s Ah, Lo Previdi.

She will be performing under the baton of her conductor husband Justin Doyle, musical director of the King’s Camerata and Da Chiesa baroque ensemble and principal conductor of the Manchester Chamber Choir. The Lancashire Chamber Orchestra is delighted to welcome him back as a guest conductor for this winter concert.

The afternoon programme is completed with Haydn’s L’Isola Disabiata Overture and Symphony No 26, and includes tea and cakes in the interval.
