FIREFIGHTERS have been called to the multi-storey car park at Aldi supermarket in Sale following a car fire.
Fire engines from Sale and Altrincham were called to the incident at 12.49pm today, Tuesday December 16.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose two hose reels to extinguish the Citroen Picasso vehicle.
The supermarket was evacuated as a precaution.
There are no reported injuries.
At this stage, the cause of the fire is unknown.
The fire caused panic on social media earlier, with posters on twitter claiming the supermarket itself was ablaze.
