ALTRINCHAM ladies choir, Di Voci, hit all the right notes to scoop first place at the prestigious North Wales Choral Festival.
The 35 strong choir, under the leadership of musical director Lorraine Brown, were delighted to take top spot in the Ladies Choir section of the event, which was held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno.
Judges rewarded Di Voci for performing an interesting and varied selection of numbers.
The ladies are now busy rehearsing for their Christmas programme, which includes St Anne’s Hospice Light Up a Life service at St Peters, Hale on December 10 and their own Christmas Concert, which will be held at St Georges Church, Altrincham at 2.30pm on Sunday December 7.
The concert will feature a lively range of seasonal and festive music .
Tickets £6 in advance for Adults are available by calling 0161 928 2792. Di Voci is an un-auditioned choir which was formed in 2007 by local vocal coach Lorraine Brown and rehearses weekly in Altrincham.
