THE new production Jerusalem, by Jez Butterworth, will be staged at the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse, from Monday, March 19, to Saturday, March 24, starting at 7.30pm.
The play is set on St. George's Day, the morning of the local county fair, Johnny "Rooster" Byron, the local good for nothing and modern day Pied Piper, is a wanted man.
The council officials want to serve him with an eviction notice, his son wants him to take him to the fair, Troy Whitworth wants to give him a serious kicking, and a motley crew of mates want his ample supply of drugs and alcohol.
This extraordinary play breaks every single rule in the book, it is an adult dark comedy which contains strong language
