Supermodel Georgia May Jagger may have found an unlikely fashion inspiration – Minnie Mouse.
The 23-year-old daughter of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall has teamed up with British designer Ashley Williams for Dazed Magazine in a photoshoot that celebrates the iconic cartoon character.
The images, taken by Sharif Hamza and styled by Elizabeth Fraser-Bell, are part of a ‘Minnie Style’ exhibition at London Fashion Week in September.
Since her first appearance as Mickey Mouse’s sweetheart in 1928, Minnie has become a style icon in her own right.
In fact, British designer Lulu Guinness created a limited-edition collection featuring the long-lashed cartoon character three years ago.
Even celebrities like Ellie Goulding and The Hills star Lauren Conrad have been inspired by Minnie Mouse, known for her signature bows.
The photographic exhibition – supported by the British Fashion Council – will be curated by Georgia to include many interpretations of the ‘Minnie Mouse style’ – which could be anything from magazine fashion shoots to pop culture images.
The Minnie Style exhibition will run from September 18-22. You can share your interpretation of Minnie Style with Georgia, by posting on Instagram using the hashtag #minniestyleuk. The Dazed Magazine Spring/Summer 2015 issue is available on shelves from April 9th.
