Mayor of Trafford, Delores O’Sullivan, hosted a quiz night on Friday night to raise money for her Mayoral charities, which include The Little Green Sock Project, Trafford Domestic Abuse Services and Médecins Sans Frontières.

The quiz night on the 26th of January, was held at Flixton Sports Club and the room was filled with lots of people looking forward to a fun-filled evening. Four rounds of the quiz were played, the first prize was a family golf ticket donated by dino golf and the second was a voucher for the Chill Factory. It was extremely close, with the winner being decided on a tie break – an exciting way to finish an amazing evening. On the night there was also a raffle and Play Your Cards Right. One attendee said the night was ‘an absolute blast and so great for it all the money raised to be going to such important causes.’

The Little Green Sock project aims to help reduce the financial burden of clothing for families in need, by reusing and gifting clothing and children’s items donated by those in our community. Trafford Domestic Abuse Services aims to enable people to break free from domestic abuse by providing safe and supportive spaces and temporary accommodation for those who have or are being affected by domestic abuse. Médecins Sans Frontières is a charity which brings medical humanitarian assistance to victims of conflict, natural disasters, epidemics, or healthcare exclusion.

Overall, the night raised £433 for the mayoral charities, a fantastic result after such a lovely night.
