Val and I took our one year old puppy, Betty, to the Flixton carnival and entered her into a couple of categories at the fun dog show.

Unfortunately Betty didn’t win any but, as they say, it’s the taking part that counts.

She’ll always be the prettiest pup to me and my Val. Well done to all the winners, especially the nineteen year old ‘Golden Oldie’ dog, who was our favourite.

The carnival itself was a great success and it was nice to see the community really getting behind it and supporting it with such a brilliant turn out.

We really enjoyed our day out at Woodsend Field as it was lovely, especially after Covid, to be back out supporting local events again. It was also really nice to meet, and sit and chat to, some Wayne’s World readers too!

I have been invited to perform at the Motor Neurone Disease Association’s Manchester Branch’s Winter Ball which will be held this year at Stockport County Football Club on November 27.

Tickets for the event are priced at £60 each or £550 for a table of ten and include a drinks reception followed by a three course meal.

There will also be a raffle and auction with some amazing prizes including four tickets to watch Joe Lycett at the Manchester Arena in 2022! I’m really looking forward to performing at this event and I hope that, if you are in a position to do so, you will support this very worthy cause.

You can find out more information and order tickets by contacting Liz Groundland on lizgroundland@gmail.com or telephone Liz on 07703 674420.

I’m performing at a few galas and balls later this year and I can’t wait to tell you all about them.

I’d like to say a huge well done to everyone who took part in the Altrincham 10K run, especially with it being such a hot day. It’s a great achievement to complete such a run and I take my hat off to you all. Well done.

I want to keep Wayne’s World at the heart of Trafford so if you have any local upcoming events or special occasions that you’d like me to share with our readers then please do let me know about them. You can email me on devlinbookings@aol.com with as much detail as possible.

Let’s shout about all the amazing things, and wonderful people, that we have here in Trafford.

See you next week!
