MUSIC lovers rejoice. The 2019 Flixton Festival line-up has been revealed.

Back for its seventh year the family friendly festival has proven a smash hit, bringing music lovers, big names and stars of the the northern scene together for one big summer party.

And this year looks set to be the biggest yet with the canny cricket club crew securing some of the biggest and best names in the biz, plenty of local talent, and some very special guests yet to be revealed.

Topping the 2019 line-up are legendary 90s DJs Artful Dodger and Phats & Small.

The turntable maestros, famed for their iconic tracks Re-wind and Turn Around, will be playing some of their best loved retro bangers guaranteed to bring bags of nostalgic fun and summer party vibes to life.

Also on the bill is fast rising star and veteran on the Manchester scene Jess Kemp. Although only aged 24, Jess has been performing for seven years, delighting audiences and earning rave reviews from BBC Radio 2 and Introducing and Inspiral Carpets legend Clint Boon.

No stranger to festival scene, Jess already has crowd pleasing slots at Kendal Calling, Bluedot and Blackthorn Music Festival under her belt, and is sure to win over plenty more adoring fans at Flixton.

Joining her, and making the short journey down the road for their Flixton Fest debut, are hometown boys The Mercy Mile.

The Urmston outfit formed in 2017, quickly building up a reputation for almighty live performances, and will bring their set of rocking original tracks alongside rock, soul, funk and Motown classics to the club.

Also appearing across the day are sensational open format DJ Sarah Giggle, Merseyside electro-pop outfit Hanover, and Cheshire electronic Indie six-piece Reclaim Vienna.

Alongside the stellar music there will also be a fairground and children’s entertainment area, plus delicious street food and a variety of bars ­— including a Prosecco and cocktail bar.

Flixton Festival will take place on August 25, kicking off at noon at Flixton Cricket Club and Sports Club in Lawrence Road, Urmston. Tickets £15 for adults and £8 for children are available from the Eventbrite website.
