DREAMS of owning a brand new home could soon become a reality for first time buyers in Altrincham with affordable two-bedroom homes from Redrow now available at Stamford Brook.

According to Government research*, three quarters of 25 – 34 years olds who are not currently homeowners and think they will be renting in three years time would like to buy a house but say they can’t afford to.

But with competitively priced starter homes available at The Willows at Stamford Brook, potential purchasers could find that homeownership really is within their means.

Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “At Redrow we understand that it can be tricky to make that all-important first step onto the property ladder. Saving a large cash deposit isn’t easy, particularly for those who are caught in the rental trap, spending what’s effectively ‘dead money’ on rent when what they really want is a home of their own.

“With that in mind, we’ve released a new wave of two and three-bedroom homes at The Willows, one of the individual phases that make up Stamford Brook.”

Priced from as little as £169,995 for a two-bedroom home, the properties come with Redrow’s high-specification interior, including a contemporary kitchen with floor to ceiling cabinets and top brand name appliances.

“If the price wasn’t competitive enough, we’re offering customers an added incentive in the shape of a 5% contribution towards their deposit. It’s an offer that for many first time buyers could save them thousands in the long run by helping them escape the rental trap and onto the first rung of the property ladder,” Elaine commented.

Purchasers could also save money on running costs as while the average new home is 40% more efficient than one built just 10 years ago, properties at Stamford Brook are designed to be even more efficient again in their use of energy, water and building materials.

The Willows is close to a Waitrose supermarket, enabling residents to shop locally for their groceries, the Trafford Centre is just a short distance away for those who want to indulge in some more extensive retail therapy and Manchester city centre is easily reached by public transport.

The homes are built on land that once formed part of the National Trust’s Dunham Massey estate and will eventually boast seven hectares of community woodland, wildlife corridors, walkways and cycle paths, orchards and open spaces.
