THE A556 TRUNK ROAD (M6 JUNCTION 19 TO CHERRY TREE LANE) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No.09346363) intends to make an Order on the A556 Trunk Road in the Borough of Cheshire East in the County of Cheshire to enable construction works to be carried out in safety.
a) The order will impose a 30 mph speed restriction on the northbound and southbound dual carriageway sections of the A556 Trunk Road, from the centreline of its junction with the existing M6 junction 19 roundabout, to the centreline of its junction with Cherry Tree Lane;
b) The order will ban all traffic from the layby adjacent to the A556 northbound carriageway, located immediately after the BP garage;
The prohibition and restrictions are expected to take place over a continuous period starting at 0700 hours on Monday 10 April 2017 and ending at 2359 hours on Tuesday 10 October 2017. The restrictions will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles and the prohibition will not apply to emergency services, works, winter maintenance or traffic officer vehicles. The restrictions and prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
