THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN (CARTMEL ROAD and PRESTON OLD ROAD BLACKBURN)

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE and TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF BUS LANE) ORDER 2017

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, propose to make the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to allow for the replacement of a gas main. The effect of the Order is to close Cartmel Road at its junction with Preston Old Road.

The Order will come into force from 8:00am to 5:00pm between the 6th of February 2017 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by the 17th of March 2017. The alternative routes for affected traffic will be via Preston Old Road, Spring Lane and Selous and Cartmel Road, Franklin Road and Spring Lane.
