ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 THE M6 MOTORWAY
(JUNCTIONS 39-40 SOUTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAY) [TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) has made an Order on the M6 Motorway in the District of Eden in the County of Cumbria to enable bridge works at Greenrigs Overbridge; to be carried out in safety. The Order will impose a 50 mph speed limit on all traffic on the M6 southbound carriageway, from a point 1950 metres north of the centreline of the M6 Greenrigs Overbridge, to a point 400 metres south of the centreline of Greenrigs Overbridge.
The restriction is expected to be in place during a continuous period starting at 2000 hours on Monday 9 January 2017 and ending at 0600 hours on Sunday 5 February 2017. However, work may start and continue beyond these dates until completed. The restrictions will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
