(B6245 RIBCHESTER ROAD, CLAYTON LE DALE AND WILTSHIRE, RIBBLE VALLEY BOROUGH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Reg­ulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.

1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of highway in the borough of Ribble Valley;



i. B6245 Ribchester Road, Clayton Le Dale from its junction with Salesbury Hall Road to its junction with Lovely Hall Lane.



ii. B6245 Ribchester Road, Wilpshire from its junction with Lovely Hall Lane to its junction with A666 Whalley Road.



2. Nothing in this order shall apply to per­sons engaged in the carrying out of the works.



3. The prohibition will be operative daily from 0900 hours to 1500 hours on Tuesday 1st February 2022 until Wednesday 2nd February 2022 or until completion of the works within this period.



4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-

A59 Longsight Road - A59 Mellor Brook Bypass - A59 Whalley Road - A59 Pres­ton New Road - A59 Brockholes Brow -A59 New Hall Lane - A5085 Blackpool Road - B6243 Ribbleton Avenue - B6243 Longridge Road - B6243 Preston Road -B6243 Chapel Hill - B6243 Lower Lane - B6243 Lower Road - B6245 Ribchester Road - B6245 Fleet Street Lane - B6245 Preston Road - B6245 Church Street -B6245 Blackburn Road and vice versa.

A666 Whalley Road - Out of County -A677 Preston New Road - A59 Whalley Road - A59 Mellor Brook Bypass - A59 Longsight Road and vice versa.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to al­low carriageway patching works to be carried out.
