PROPOSED TYNE AND WEAR QUALITY CONTRACT SCHEME (QCS) FOR BUSES REQUEST TO QCS BOARD FOR ADVICE PUBLIC NOTICE UNDER SECTION 126B OF THE TRANSPORT ACT 2000

This notice is to advise all interested parties that the QCS Board convened under section 126A of the Transport Act 2000 has provided procedural advice in relation to the proposed Tyne and Wear QCS in accordance with section 126B(2) of the Transport Act 2000 to Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP on behalf of their client Go North East. In summary, the QCS Board was requested to provide advice on the procedures to be followed for the provision of evidence. The Board’s advice is that once the intention of the Integrated Transport Authority to proceed is known the Board will consider whether to convene an informal Directions Hearing to address questions relating to the nature and structure of formal evidence hearings. A copy of the request for advice and that given is available from the Board on request. Any person has the right to request advice from the board about matters of a procedural nature. Interested parties can request advice by writing to Mr Kevin Rooney, Traffic Commissioner, Office of the Traffic Commissioner 386 Harehills Lane, Leeds, LS9 6NF. Details of the person(s) requesting advice and the details of the advice given will be published.
