The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen

(Ellison Fold Way, Darwen) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2021

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Intend to make the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to close Ellison Fold Way from its junction with Ivinson Road to its junction with Marsh House Lane for a distance of 595 metres.

The closure is neccessary for the following reason: To install United Utilities apparatus for a new building site.

The Order will come into force on

6th September 2021 and shall continue in

force for a period of eighteen months or until

the works are completed, whichever is the

earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works

will be completed by

1st October 2021.

The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Ellison Fold Way, Marsh House Lane, Roman Road, Pot House Lane, Holden Fold, Oak Grove and Ivinson Road vice versa.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
