PUBLIC NOTICE OF VIRTUAL INQUIRY THE HOUSING ACT 198S SECTION 17 Acquisition of Land Act 1981 The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen (18 Cobden Street, Darwen) Compulsory Purchase Order 2020 WHEREAS the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen Council have submitted to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for confirmation of an Order section 17 ofThe Housing Act 1985 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981, which would authorise them to acquire compulsorily the land referred to in the Schedule hereto for the purpose to ensure that there is certainty of bringing the property back into use as residential accommodation. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a virtual public local inquiry into this matter will be held by Mr Patrick Hanna on 18 May 2021 at 10.00 am. The public inquiry will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams. Please register, by emailing Kevin Gordon of the Planning Inspectorate at

if you intend to attend the Inquiry. Please provide the title of the order, the purpose for you attending the public inquiry and your address and interest in the land.
