The following planning applications are those affecting the setting of a Listed Building, a Conservation Area, a Public Right of Way, or major applications and are available to view on our website. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) B3109 Bradford Leigh (Part), South Wraxall; from its junction with Chalfield Road for a distance of approximately 1500 metres in a southerly direction to enable Miles Macadam to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works. Alternative route: via B3109 (unaffected length) - B3105 - A363 -Lower Kingsdown Road - Blue Vein - Old Jockey and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 November 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 until 20 November 2019. B) B3109 (Part), Wingfield, Westwood and Bradford on Avon; from its junction with A366 Trowbridge Road to its junction with Moulton Drive to enable Miles Macadam to carry out carriage resurfacing and associated maintenance works. Alternative route: via B3109 (unaffected length) - Junction Road - A363 - A366 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 11 November 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 until 14 November 2019. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: C) Cantax Hill (Part), Lacock; from outside of property known as Cantax house for a distance of approximately 120 metres in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out repairs to manhole cover. Alternative route: via Cantax Hill (unaffected length) - Mons Lane - A350 - Melksham Road -West Street, Chapel Hill and vice versa. South Wraxall; from outside of property known as Brookside for a distance of approximately 130 metres in a south westerly direction to enable Ringway to carry out repairs to culvert which has collapsed. Alternative route: via Lower South Wraxall (unaffected length) - Rushmead Lane - Monkton Farleigh - Manor Road - Link Lane - C215 - B3109 and vice versa. Orders (a) to (d) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
