DOREEN ANN ALLEN Doreen Ann Allen, 83, of Sale, Cheshire sadly passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving children, on 27 May 2019 after a short battle with cancer. After leaving Sale Girls Grammar School Doreen went on to train as a nurse, where she met Reg, who soon became her beloved husband. Sadly Doreen was widowed at the age of 36, when Reg was involved in a tragic road accident. Always fiercely independent she insisted her children carried on with their lives and pursue their dreams, supporting them every step of the way. In her work and social life she made many friendships that stayed with her throughout. Doreen enjoyed her independence right until the final stages and never lost her zest for life. She was loved by anyone she came into contact with and will leave behind fond memories with so many people. Doreen, daughter of Donald and Bessie Wilkinson, lived the majority of her life in Sale. She leaves behind 3 children, Martyn, Don and Margaret, 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter. The service to celebrate her life will be held at Altrincham Crematorium on Friday 7 June 2019. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Research UK. We'd like to give Special Thanks to the staff at Wythenshawe Hospital and Trafford District Nurses.
