Write upon a star
11:11am Friday 12th December 2008 in Your Say
Trafford Council has put together a three year plan, with the help of organisations and businesses working in Trafford's town centres, to give them a boost and ensure they continue to attract shoppers, visitors and investment. And local people and businesses are being invited to comment on the Town Centres Plan to give their views on their priorities.
The online consultation will end on 12 January next year. You can also give your feedback to council staff who will be on hand in the town centres to explain the plan. Visit www.trafford.gov.uk for more information.
Meanwhile, the One World Café and Shop at Trafford College was officially opened by the Mayor of Trafford to mark ‘International Day of Disabled People’ on 3 December.
International day of disabled people is a day which aims to promote awareness and understanding of people with disabilities.
The new facilities will give students work experience and boost their everyday skills to help prepare them for either the world of work or independent living.
Guests were invited to ‘write upon a star’ – an aspiration about disability – at the opening. These can be viewed at the college displayed on the Christmas tree in the foyer.
