It still overwhelms me, I, Me, the midget from Manchester did something well above and beyond anything I could possibly imagine. Although being a Member Of Youth Parliament was one of my proudest achievements to date, I didn’t think I could ever be given a door to such an opportunity .In my view were the green leather seats I used to watch on News at 10, they looked quite fancy. Until 60 of us were huddled together on one bench, quite uncomfortable.

“LET THE DEBATES BEGIN!”

I was urging to get my point of view heard- it’s time Trafford had a say on such a national level. A bit scared the speaker wouldn’t be able to notice the midget in the far corner, so after keeping my legs standing (on my tip-toes) for the majority part of 45 minutes, my time to shine came or my claim to fame although I say shine, I think everyone’s focus was on either the angel-like sleeves or the exaggerated hand movements. None the less, I argued around the debate “No to Tuition fees, Yes to Graduate Tax” disagreeing with the motion and believing that neither option was correct but instead scholarships should be looked at. So I was on T.V for less than a minute but more importantly, I had a say in deciding the campaign area for UK youth parliament which would be transport, something that particularly made that debate stand out was the boy from Yorkshire and his “Me-go and McDonalds trip.”

Speaking of McDonalds, me and Chris decided we deserved a huge feast, well when we say feast, no I don’t mean plates from a buffet, I meant a LAAAAAANNDAANNN (LONDON) style McDonalds, Nom! I would go in depth with my meal but I’m guessing everyone would get everyone’s tummies rumbling!

All in all the day out to London was FABULOUS, and I enjoyed every aspect so thank you Mark and Chris for such a great time.
