THE late Mother Teresa was invited to a conference about hunger to be held somewhere in Mumbai. On the way Mother Teresa lost her way and eventually arrived after the conference had started.
Upon her arrival Mother Teresa found a dying man slumped in the doorway of the venue.
She took him back to her hostel and then stayed with him until he died.
All this, while the conference continued on after lunch oblivious of what had occurred
“And in the conference the people inside were talking about how in 15 years we will have no shortages of food at all.”
Mother Teresa never looked at the masses as being her responsibility.
‘I can love only one person at a time’.
Just as Jesus Christ did not found a perfect NHS but gave the one person he was healing his full attention.
