New supermarket is a kick in the teeth

IT’S over 10 years since Peel Holdings arrived in Davyhulme and not satisfied with just building the Trafford Centre, it seems they continue to expand their empire.

This is regardless of the fact that Davyhulme is sinking beneath a quagmire of traffic and now developer Peel Holdings has been given the go-ahead for an out of town supermarket to be built on Neary Way, a mile from Urmston town centre.

It feels like another kick in the teeth for the shopkeepers of Urmston, who are just about getting back on their feet.

Whilst one can only agree with your observations regarding the proposed supermarket on neary way, your constant gripes about Peel holdings do you no favours. Peel holdings have created, (via the Trafford Centre), many jobs in the locality. If the lights are too bright then close the curtains.
