Green thoughts

AS a local councillor I attended the meeting arranged by the ‘Keep Trafford Green’ group.

Like all your councillors, I am here to represent the views of our community and I was positively encouraged by the passion that this group held about trees, moreover the desire to protect our green space.

I very much share these views, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for the improvement to our community and ultimately our environment. However, I am also very much aware that some residents have experienced serious issues with trees and it is for this reason I would like to hear from those residents who are concerned. The next meeting will be held on June 7 at the Better Tuition Centre, 1 Crofts Bank Road, Urmston, at 8pm.

I would personally welcome the opportunity to talk to residents directly, so please come along to the meeting to understand what the group’s objectives are and to share your own views.

I am committed to working with, supporting and developing our community. Cllr Mrs Lisa Cooke, Davyhulme East ward
