Memories wanted

TO mark the Queen’s upcoming diamond jubilee, St Antony’s Centre is looking back at royal celebrations over the years.

Using photographs, artefacts’ and stories we aim to rekindle memories of a host of royal visits to the borough and of the street parties that have marked jubilees and coronations.

As part of the exhibition, we hope to have a number of souvenir items on display also. Do you have anything to share with us that could form part of this exhibition?

Have you got any photos or newspaper articles we could loan? We want to make this about local people and local memories and would be very grateful to anyone who could assist us.

If you have anything you think may be of interest please contact Joanne on 0161 848 9173, email jconnor@stantonyscentre.org.uk or by post at St Antony’s Centre, eleventh Street, Trafford Park M17 1JF. The exhibition runs from May 14 until June 16.

I hope people treat this request with the disdain it deserves. We don't need this family of parasites sponging off the country. The vast majority of us will be completely ignoring this festival of fawning and looking forward to the inevitable rise of the already very popular Republican movement.

If you want to live in a republic there are plenty to choose from. Close the door behind you and leave us to our celebrations. God save the Queen!
