Fundraiser will help teen cancer trust
3:03pm Thursday 19th April 2012 in Your Letters
I AM writing to tell your readers about a nationwide fundraising initiative taking place across all Superdrug stores on April 21 and 22, which will help fund Teenage Cancer Trust’s work in schools, colleges and universities across the UK, educating young people about the signs and symptoms of cancer and the importance of healthy living.
During the fundraising weekend Superdrug staff will be going back in time to when they were a teenager and digging out their old school ties and teenage hair styles. Some shoppers may also recognise Superdrug staff dressed as the music star they idolised as a teenager.
Stores will also be creating the legendary school tuck shop with sweets and cakes on sale.
Every store will also be encouraging customers to purchase Teenage Cancer Trust pin badges.
Teenage Cancer Trust is the official charity partner of Superdrug until December 2012.
We are the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival of young people with cancer aged between 13 and 24.
Proceeds from the charity partnership will help Teenage Cancer Trust deliver vital cancer awareness presentations to 90,000 students across the UK, so please support your local Superdrug store in their fundraising efforts.
