Stadium move is good for everyone

THE upcoming ground share with Rugby League club Salford City Reds at the Salford City Stadium, I hope, will safeguard the future of Sale Sharks and help propel them to the heights of European rugby.

This ground share is long overdue and will bring the Sale Sharks much closer to their home fans in South Manchester and beyond.

Not only will this move to Salford City stadium bring the game much closer to the fans, but it gives the Sale Sharks the dedicated rugby stadium they need to compete at the highest level.

This move will allow both union and league clubs to benefit from vital cost savings as expenditure will be shared, allowing both clubs to attract the best possible talent available.

I look forward to seeing the growing success of the clubs as they benefit from this ground share.
