  • "Further down Heath Road where the pavement disappears is private property. There is a sign to the right of the road which says "Private Road No Parking". The wording of the note was not rude - you could have parked nearer to the pub in Brown Street or Hale Station car park... BUT you didn't want to pay!"

Rude note

MAY I thank the person responsible for the rude note left on my car while parked on Heath Road in Hale village last Thursday afternoon.

I had been attending a funeral wake in the Cheshire Midland pub and parked so as not to block any private driveways on that road.

The note read as follows: “You are parking on private property without permission. There is a public car park with plenty of spaces in Brown Street, behind Hale station.”

Without permission of whom might I ask?

There is nothing to suggest that Heath Road is private, and I was parked for an hour.

Shame on you. I should be the one complaining that you interfered with my vehicle, which by the way IS private property.
