LAST Tuesday, my daughter-in-law and I took my two grandaughters to the children’s play area at Stamford Park.
To my horror it was a complete mud bath.
Because it had been closed for such a long time during the summer we were expecting a treat for them at half-term.
So that the girls were not disappointed we had to let them play on the new equipment which is very good, but to get to it you have to slide across the mudbath.
I was frightened as it was very slippy and dangerous underfoot and found it harder to walk around than the ice we had last month.
I think the council should do something quickly before there is a bad accident there.
They should also pay the laundry bills for all the children playing there – they were covered from head to toe in mud.
