REGARDING the letter about Timperley Brook.

I believe it is the Environment Agency at fault, if not what are they being paid for?

They should be fining United Utilities until they do something about it.

The fault is an open untreated sewage pipe emptying into Timperley Brook at the fifth tee on Altrincham Golf course.

Prior to this pipe the brook is beautifully clear but after it is just sewage, especially when there has been little rain.

I fear for any child tempted to paddle in the brook downstream.
